Talk, My Goodness and Sports

Beforehand, i want to apologize for not having a really internationalized blog. Drupal can do it, but not the way i want it to. Currently time is missing to get into hacking it or finding another solution.

That's been a weekend! On Saturday i started a small trip through Germany. The first target was the German Ubucon conference in Göttingen, where i held a talk about collaboration in kubuntu and kubuntu-de.org. Actually, my rhetorical skills can improve, however i am pretty sure they will evolve with more experience, since i did very few talks until now. Anyway, nobody made his or her getaway, but there where a lot questions asked throughout: not too bad.

Later on i had some chatting with one of the organizers. We, kubuntu-de.org that is, could have had a whole track instead of this single talk. This time, we were underrepresented regarding persons at place. But we can improve this next year considering the chances such an event offers.

Unfortunately, i had to leave quite soon, thus missing the social event and the next day. That is a pity, because the schedule was again very interesting, especially the events about FAI, Shell and likewise-open.

Given the fact that Göttingen is located next to Ruhrpott compared with Heidenheim, i went there to visit some pals and my parents. So i met old friends at Barney Kiernans for nachos and Altbier and by chance i got this wonderful scarf (see image above). Thanks, Tobi!

The Sunday then i spent with my parents, but only until 3pm until i had to head for my trains that brought me back to Heidenheim. I tell you: when you travel with Deutsche Bahn you have no need for fitness centers anymore.
